What Is A Keto Vegan/Plant-Based Diet?
What Is Ketosis? Definition: “Ketogenesis” means “generating ketones,” which your body does naturally to generate energy from fat when carbohydrate sources are sufficiently low (e.g., after intense exercise, long periods of fasting, etc.). “Ketogenic diets” are thus a way of switching your body over into a fat-burning state. The Ketogenic or KETO diet is gaining popularity. Many people wonder if it is possible to adopt a Keto Vegan Plant-Based Diet. I’m here to tell you YES! It is!
Do Whole Foods Make A Difference?
Our lives are so busy, and with that comes the need to “save time”. This has led to a trend of drive-thrus, fast meals, and ready-made packages. It is so easy to make this choice, so we can get our kids from event to event, fit meals between work and play, or the newest trend of skipping the dishes. My question is what is this convenience costing us? Have you noticed how many cravings you have? Or how easy it is to overeat? The problem with all this convenience is that the time you save now can cost your health in the long run.

Is Coconut Oil Related to Heart Disease?
Have you heard? The American Heart Association just released news that coconut oil is bad for you… The author of the study said that coconut oil increases the risk of heart disease. Funny enough, if you read the article all the way through, you will see that it also mentions that it is subjective to each person, and that cutting saturated fat may not actually reduce the risk of heart attack. This sensational headline is designed to get people reading the article but seems to contradict itself by the end. It also mentions that sugar and junk food are the main culprits for heart disease. The article uses MCT oil as its main way of bashing coconut oil. MCT oil is a more expensive, highly processed, fractionated form of coconut oil used by athletes and body builders to increase metabolism. MCT oil is not coconut oil.
